From his roots in the ranching world of southern Oklahoma, Luke Reed learned the values of hard work, stewardship of the land, and the importance of family. By the time he was a teenager, Luke realized his love of music and the integral piece it plays in the legacy of those values.
As a songwriter, his hard work has been rewarded with major publishing company contracts and cuts recorded by such country greats as George Strait, Hank Thompson, and Johnny Bush as well as western artists Michael Martin Murphey, Red Steagall, and Don Edwards. His album, Corridos, featured his original western songs with guest appearances by Waylon Jennings, Bonnie Bramlett, Bill Miller, and Riders In The Sky.
Over the past year, Luke has been writing, recording, and touring. His newest collection of songs, “Tried and True,” is a live recording released during the National Cowboy Poetry Gathering in January 2016.
